Who is this, do I know you????

I noted that it didn't reach 70 degrees by around noon, yesterday, which means that this was a truly unusual cold snap for this early in the year. Didn't do much, otherwise. The fires all appear to have been missed by any rain.
The robots are here.
They've been around.
Domo Arigoto.
What's going on here??? 10 days without a post in this thread. Is this the death of an institution????
The death of a thousand cuts. lol
Rumor has it that they're stuck to his bottom jaw, which must be embarrassing when he goes shopping.

That would make it hard to eat.
Today is the nicest day I've had in almost a week. No smoke, and the sun is shining. That's a bit odd, as the forecast is for rain.
It did rain earlier today, though it didn't amount to much.
My son and I made it on the TV. We were at the LSU game and a news reporter asked us to do an interview. He was so excited, it’s going to be one of those moments he’ll never forget.
Drinking shouldn't be much of a problem.

So, was the first image the source image, with the others being creations on the theme, or was even the first image a creation?
The first was the original.
Then the rest followed, like at his day job. But everyone gets a kick out of him. :bigyello:

The knives are out at the wedding? That was quick.
I guess I'm not sharp enough to come up with any knife puns.
I'm sure you'll come up with some stuff. I always enjoy your slice of humor!
Anyway, he had them surgically removed, which is too bad because he was a cut above the rest when it came to dating. Hopefully no one takes a stab at this idea to attract the ladies.

Pauvre bebe
This hurricane is no joke. We stayed anticipating a category 1, but it intensified just before landfall. The eye passed us about an hour ago and the winds on the backside are easily 2x what they were on the front side.
Well, the winds on my backside are stronger, too.
Didn't you get a storm last year, as well, or has it been a couple years?
Ida was 2021, I did not stay for that one.
Ida...no, was that really it?
We had a smaller hurricane hit after Ida, it was one of the Greek named ones. But it was super small.
Hurricane Sapator?
That would be hilarious and terrifying at the same time.
It would wreak havoc, then come back and explain the origin of the terms.
I got rained on over the last couple days. It never seemed to rain hard, but it did appear to dampen some of the fires. The air is now free of smoke.
On the other hand, I was staggering up a stream counting fish. That made my feet mighty sore. The rocky stream wasn't good footing. Perhaps I should start counting fish in estuaries rather than in rivers? That would surely save my sole, so long as I wasn't out of plaice.
Staggering up a stream sounds like a job for the young.
Had to look up Plaice. They remind me of Crappie or Bluegill.
They aren't really my specialty. I knew they were a fish, but I just couldn't plaice them.
Staggering up streams is definitely a job for the young. By the time I got back to the truck, I could barely walk. Fortunately, the two women who were coming up the stream were also pretty done in...though they had walked twice as much stream, to be fair, and it may well have been more difficult stream, at that.
Now that I think about it, staggering up that particular stream probably isn't a job for anybody, young or old. It just wasn't good enough habitat to justify the effort.
Might be time for a management position. lol
A spin on the old adage: Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. Those who can't teach, teach gym.
Would be: Those who can, stagger up stream. Those who can't, manage.
Those who can...retire.
Then, those who can...will bike across the country, but that's a year and a half out.
Reminds of the scene in Forest Gump, "... one day, I just felt like running."
I don't see the attraction of biking across country. Seems like a lot of unnecessary misery. I mean, if you want to see the country, that's why God created cars and hotels. lol
Well, I'm trying to do it in such a fashion that it avoids the misery.
On a mountain bike on flat ground, I can maintain 12 mph. Therefore, 60 miles a day would mean biking for only about five hours out of the day. I intend to average about half that, with a couple weeks of buffer if needed. Therefore, I think that I can bike for about two and a half hours a day, which isn't much at all, especially if not done all at once. That should be a leisurely pace.
I'll also have a computer with me. Biking and coding, gaming, and banning spammers. Where's the misery in that?
Yes....to every part of that.
I expect it to take about five months, though I likely would have to speed up in the west, simply because my options for things like water and reasonable camping become farther apart.
As for lodging, there are places where only camping makes sense (at the pace I want to travel), and places where hotels are the only option. The rest of the time, it will depend on what I feel like...and laundry. Laundry can drive where I stay.
Press F7 for enlightenment.
I missed and hit F8....now I wallow in confusion:(
When I first started working for Allstate, we were still running a mainframe app where the cursor did absolutely nothing. We eventually migrated to a web based application (though it used the old mainframe app under the hood), but all of our documentation still had "F1 for help", "F2 to complete", or "F3 to cancel".
Or maybe it was F6 to cancel... it's been 13 years...
Well Autumn is definitely here now as today I've seen four squirrels scampering around the garden and running up and down trees. Their nut gathering has started in earnest.
My cursor keeps flashing me.
You're one day ahead. Today should hit the 90s, here, but will be much cooler tomorrow.
It's almost our typical fall, except that the temperatures seem higher.
Can you send us some - we've at 48 and wet
I wish. We'd be happy to trade for some water.
There's a chance that the fires will get going again. They weren't extinguished by the two storms that came through, as those storms didn't have all that much rain associated with them...and now it's dry and breezy, again.
I hope the winds don't shift around to the north. I've breathed in enough smoke for this year.
Some people were using apps that showed you the equivalent number of cigarettes you'd have to smoke each day to match just breathing this air. We were working on two packs a day.
Was given a bunch of bird cages on Fark to Photoshop. This came to mind:
