Anyone see that eclipse?

Nothing to see here in central Ca. Did you notice the one lady staring with no glasses? lol
Some people probably don't believe that glasses protect you from anything.
Maybe it was cloudy in her area.
Partly cloudy with a chance of eclipses? Seems like earthquake weather.
Post race was falling a bit, had to resurface it.
Very active day today. Post Race dropped several threads down in short order.
Yeah, VBF is trending. lolQuote:

Found myself a new hobby.
I installed Merlin Bird ID app from Cornell, and it identified 8 birds around my house. :)
Inside?
Remember, an app in your hand is like two birds in a bush....or something like that.
Bwahahahaha!!!
You'd know!
What's eerie is the significance of "bird" here, besides the obvious. I've been tripping over strange synchronicities a lot lately.
By the way that Fallout show on Prime is the shiznitz!
I saw some trailer for that. It looks like it is tied to the Fallout video games. I played Fallout 4, and it was pretty good, but it wasn't just a nuclear aftermath, it was also a nuclear aftermath in an alternate history where technology flowed in a different direction from the 50s onwards. Some things advanced, others remained stuck. Cars were more reminiscent of the glass and steel of the 50s, while robotics were much more advanced.
Today while looking into buying my son the same router I have, a Fritz!Box 7590, which cost me 250 Euros, I found a special sell on it. For a slightly slower version of my router model, which includes a single Fritz! led that normaly costs 20 Euros, it's on sale for 3,736 Euros at my favorite electronics store! :bigyello:

That's an odd name. In the US, the term "on the fritz", means that the device isn't working right.
It's just a name in Germany. It was used for this product because of the stereotype or perception of German engineering excellence.
I was wondering where the term came from. It looks like it has been around for over 100 years, and as so many of sayings that old are, the origin is unknown with any certainty.
I have only known one Fritz in my life, and his last name didn't seem at all Germanic. Kind of English, really, but that doesn't mean much in the US. So many immigrants anglicized their names when they arrived here. A friend of mine found out that his Italian surname got shortened, and he restored it.
Didn't know him personally but I remember Fritz The Cat. That was a long time ago.
You never know a cat personally. It's always impersonal, at best.
That's not actually true, but cats do want you to believe that.
I've never met a Fritz, but had plenty of tech go on the fritz.
Luckly for me my Fritz!Box has never gave me any problems.
You Brits need to learn to hold your horses!! https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/r...rmy-rcna149113
This from the country that lead "The Charge of The Light Brigade".
I feel bad for that bloodied horse. He must've been the one that ran into a bus after getting spooked.
That's a lot of blood, and seems so bright it looks arterial.
This keeeeyboard is a mess. The worst key is the e key, but others are repeeating, as well, though none as bad as the e. I think it might be due to it being a gaming keyboard with very twitchy keys. Either that or it's duee to me typing like I was using a hammeer.
Switched the settings. Now I'll see whether or not it is better. Thus far, it does appear to be. The repeats seem to be due more to my spelling, but not entirely. I have gotten an extra e three times so far, though I corrected them.
Now for yet another test, but I need to type something that ends in an ee. Hmmm, that key is still being problematic. It's better, just not quite fixed.
Well, it's the keyboard itself. Even turning the repeats down so far that backspace barely works, the e gets repeated far too often. It's only the e, now, so that's an improvement, but a new keyboard will be forthcoming.
I'm thinking that the keyboard just needs a good cleaning. Removing the e key and cleaning that out appears to have gotten it working better. Not perfectly, but far better than it was.
I'm sure everybody wanted to know all that.
What I'm curious about is what happened to Dilettante. He's gone mighty silent.
Maybe Dil is on vacation or something.

A new video generating AI called Sora is amazing and scary at the same time!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK6y8DAPN_0
Sora videos have a lot of flaws, mostly with limbs, cell division like behavior of animals, but OpenAI will probably iron out most of the bugs while they work out safeguards to prevent misuse before making it available to the public.
I can't wait to get my hands on this! I just hope OpenAI doesn't charge an arm and a leg for access.

Here we are in the last day of April, and we may have gotten a frost last night. It's hard to know when to plant certain things around here. I'm trying to be strategic with planting, though, and thus far my strategy is working. The strategy is to not have any crop mature while I am off hiking and can't harvest it.
I can still pick beans.
We have a chance of snow to the valley floors, early next week, so waiting a bit seems like a good plan.
Just LMAO
I'm not sure there is enough dope in the world to get through such a movie

Things settled down for a change then WHAM a breakup. Five days later the crawling back began and things seem on track to normal... if you can call any of this normal. I can't account for how this has continued so long in light of the chaos shot through it and the number of people telling me I should run.
Yeah, limping is more our style.
Still, it's good to hear, really. Your silence was becoming ominous. It could have been that you were delirious, but even that could be either good or bad.
