KaZaA is pretty good for AVI's, MPEG's etc.. (That's where I've been getting my vids from :D)
Limewire isn't bad sometimes
AudioGalaxy is probably the best for MP3's
I've been having really good success with edonkey lately, getting whole bin files in one night  :)
How long did it take you to D/L all that stuff?Quote:

Do you need a fast connection to make this sort of thing work?Quote:

Depends on the remote connection, for 1hr 30mins of film it can take between 2 hours and 2 days.
On average I start them downloading before I go to bed and then they're on my harddrive when I wake up (7 hours later)
yeah, it's more to do with that you need to leave them running for a long time to get any success out of it, add that an average movie is 1.4 gig, you do need the speed :) but saying that, it sometimes takes me up to a week to download something as your not guaranteed to get a fast download speed :(Quote:

It wouldn't be worth downloading films using a modem, it'd take days (if not weeks) :eek:Quote:

*cough*ftp*cough*
You've probably seen me ranting in Chit chat that I can't find a FRIACO service that lets you stay connected for more thasn 2 hours. Who do you use?Quote:

I've got adsl through pipex, so it's permanently on and get 512 down/ 256 up :)
Cable is mucho faster
So are you using ADSL?Quote:

Cable over here is slightly cheaper than adsl and is slightly faster comming down, but going up they only give you 128k. and there are only a few places in the country where you can get it.Quote:

I'm on Cable with Telewest :). £25 quids per month, 512k per second download & 128K upload (I think). But I often see 70kps download from fast sites :DQuote:

No more buying CD's or films for Lucy :)
Since I got my ADSL I been using eDonkey2000 a lot. Just finished Disc one for GTA3 in under 2 hours
if you use eD2k *cough*www.sharereactor.com*cough*
I get all my short movies (;)) from WinMX.
Feature length films I get on eD2k. :)
I get the feeling I'm gonna need to expand on my 10GB hard drive though....
yeah, I use sharereactor quite a bit, got gp4 from there in one night and it isn't even out yet :D
hmmm...
Oh well. Rules were made to be broken :pQuote:

Fooking hell, everyone of my posts violate at elast one of them :D
Now let's see if I can get this right. stop posting you cock sucking, takes it up the arse, uses sharereactor, gonna come round your house and beat the **** out of you, little knob.
I think that's all of them :D ;)
hehe. I was gonna post a reply before you did that, but for some reason this site keeps timing out while loading pages, ever since I got my ADSL
Any ideas?
LOL :D
We've good cable coverage. The upload is a bit disappointing but downloadspeeds that exceed 800kb/sec more than make up for it :D
I get up to 600 Down and 300 Up on my connection, cause no-one else in my middle-of-nowhere town has ADSL, so I don't have to share any contention :D
800k ???!?!?
Lordy!
Yup, 800k. One fine sunday morning (when the whole of the states is sleeping ;) ) I even got over 900k which was blisteringly fast :D
Usually got averages of up and around 450-500 kb/sec so I can't really complain
