Heh, you mere mortals and your 56k modems :D
No pal, I'm at college with a blistering Tx line.
And I've still downloaded enough stuff to take me up to Wednesday tea-time ;)
Hah !
Mortals ?!?!?! - What are you then Harry ?
Who's seen the new alarm clock on the news few days ago ?
Bloke invented a clock that's wired to the internet VIA A 56K MODEM I'll POINT OUT that'll watch the weather & traffic for your area & wake you up accordingly, so if it's sunny & no traffic, you get more of a lie in - I gotta get me one of those :D
The latest downloads:
Weezer
&
Bach
hmm. Thats quite an eclectic mix.
Hmm, well variety is the spice of life.
I have a Deftones cover of Say It Ain't So, it's pretty good.
<naughty>downloaded over 1.2GB mp3s since yesterday morning</naughty>
Jeez, that's a lot =) my entire collection is only something like 4 gig
I think I need to buy some more CDs just to get them home ;)
I also have an mp3 of Machine Head live, just messing around before a gig doing some bits of covers of songs... the cover of Roots Bloody Roots fairly rocks ;)
"Boots! Muddy Boots!"
these boots were made for walking, and that's just what they'll do,
one of these days these boots will, walk all over you ...
Hmm don't recall hearing that version
PS Alex - be careful or you'll be picking up your shell suit jacket n' all.
Quote:
I've felt darkness closing in on me
Chilling shadows surrounding me
I've had the poison leak into my skin
And it corroded my heart away
Bled away
Cut away
Dark night of my soul . .
Damn, an I've heard of that one too
Timelessness: Fear Factory
Cool tune...
Cool, you knew it :)
I can't make out the words myself, I figured it might be a bit tricky.
Oh, and yeah it's definitely a cool tune, excellent chillout track.
The lyrics are in the inlay
d'oh!
mind you I didn't need to look it up...

I hope you flip some guy the bird,
He cuts you off and you're forced to swerve,
into a Beatles tour bus,
an Oldsmobile and a Mack truck,
hauling hazerdous biological waste.
The light turns red,
you have no brakes,
and 'Hard Copy' gets it all on tape,
so you can see the look on your face.
I hope this helps to clarify,
I hope this helps to emphasise,
I hope you die.
I hope your Pinto begins to spin,
takes out a disabled Vietnam veteran,
mows down a nobel peace prize winner,
and some orphans having Christmas dinner.
Perhaps even the British royal family,
and a rabbi that's clutching a bottle-fed puppie,
and we can't forget the newly-weds,
and those Jerry's kids are as good as dead.
Die, die, die, die, die, die, die
Die, die, die, die, die, die, die
I hope your cellmate thinks he's God,
but CNN refer to him as 'bowling ball bag Bob'.
Serving time again for abuse of a corpse,
only this time the victim's a Clydesdale horse.
While he masturbates to photos of livestock,
he does 'The Silence of The Lambs' to Christian rock,
eats feces and quotes from Deliverance,
and fights with his imaginary playmate Vince.
I hope this helps to clarify,
I hope this helps to emphasise,
I hope you die.
I hope he grins like Jack Nicholson,
and forces you to play a game called 'balls on chin',
and whatever happens next is all a blur,
but you remember 'fist' can be a verb.
And when you finally regain consciousness,
you're bound and gagged in a wedding dress,
and the prison guard looks the other way,
'cause he's the guy you flipped the bird the other day.
I hope this helps to clarify,
I hope this helps to emphasise,
I hope you die.
You're not really meant to say where the lyrics are from... not that I would have known it.
Sorry. The lyrics are funny tho.:D
You could email it to someone you hate if you want.:D (not me! (just a warning for any smart@$$es out there))
"Today sucked the hardest ever..."
No guesses? I know Dennis likes this band...
*Stumped*
Calgone - Incubus
Ah, know the band but not the song.
You got the album, S.C.I.E.N.C.E.?
No, just some mp3s, like half a dozen maybe.
cooool...get calgone then. the chorus rocks!
I also downloaded their cover of The Vapors' Turning Japanese. I can thoroughly recommend it!
Well I would except Napster's *****ed and I have to leave in about 20 minutes, and by the time I get back (probably Saturday) I'll have to pack and stuff... well actually I might be able to sort out Audiogalaxy or something on Saturday (would you recommend Audiogalaxy?)
Try BearShare
I use Napigator. It still uses the Napster font-end, but lets you choose a server, from a list of independantly run servers, it shows their pings, users etc.:)
I like it.:)

While everyone's busy figuring the lyrics out, as I'm sure they are, anybody heard the Deftones' version of 'The Chauffer'?
think i got hold of it on mp3 - ill go and look for it.
yup, listening to it now... :D
Harry - in response to your previous question, yes - I personally rate Audiogalaxy quite highly.
OrCode:This is a fair request
and I promise
I will not judge
any person only as a teenager
if you will constantly reming yourself
that some of my generation
judges people by their

and this is no more right then saying
all teenagers are drunken dope addicts
or glue sniffers

One thing that I can depend on

Their version of 'The Chauffer' is really good IMO, it rocks. Never heard the original Duran Duran version though.
Bill, I have no idea what any of those are.
Should be an easy one :)Quote:

Well, you know, I have 1126 mp3s on my computer, I have every rock album you could ever want, but does anyone know the title of the song with the line "I love the way you make me feel, I love the way you smack my ass" (which happens to be my favorite line from any song)? Come to think of it, I don't even know who sings it, I've only heard it on the radio a couple times.

Well then you must listen to "Narayan" from "The Prodigy"!
It's not exactly their most popular music but I tell you, it's one of the best they have.
The misterious intro, the typical amazonian tribal music sounds, the modified voice of the singer, the lyrics ("you'll feel another energy..."), the tribal warcries... they all give an ambience of neo-fanaticism and that's just too cool to describe here with my limited vocabulary ;)
try saying all that when your 3 sheets to the wind ;)
Jotaf - I've got the album Fat of the Land. It's all pretty cool :D
Hehe me too :)
A friend of mine told me that the musics of their previous album are way better than these ones... how can that be true? :p
Anyway, if you know its name or something so I can look for it...
The earlier Prodigy stuff is quite different to Fat of the Land, but still unique in its own way. The albums that came before are called 'Experience' and 'Music for the Jilted Generation'. I don't remember any others. Experience is probably the best IMO, with 'Fire', 'Charly', 'Voodoo People' and 'Out of Space' along with some others you'll probably recognise when you hear them even if you don't know the names.
Thanks Harry, but do you think they're better (wheter I should buy them or not)? ;)
And do you know of any other CD by them (after "The Fat of The Land"? :p
They never made anything after Fat of the Land, and as far as I know they don't plan to.
Get Experience if you want to try some older stuff.
My current favourite:
"I'm as serious as a heart attack, Rats get whacked"
Poppa Chubby
"Papa's got a bradn new body bag for you!"
AAF
I've got that one, and fat of the land, think it's the 2nd I'm missing & think that's their best.Quote:

Hum, if you have Fat of The Land and Experience, and you don't have the other (second?) CD, how do you know it's better? :)
BECAUSE you cheeky ~:~%{":~ !!!, I borrowed it from my brother a while back :p :D
anyway, on with the lyrics then :
Hey little sister who's your superman
Hey little sister who's the one you want
Hey little sister shotgun!
Billy Idol....White Wedding
very good, and now the next sample lesson :
Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me
