What does it do?
when you are typing a reply or thread, you can right click in the Message box and you will see a VBForum menu item for the pop up menu.
Adds alot of formatting options for your posts.
very nice.. you wrote it?
Yeah.
what did u write it in?
XUL and Javascipt. You can get the code easily if you are curious. The xpi file is just a zip file as well as the .jar file inside which contains the core code inside the content directory in the vbf.jar file.
Thanks a billion dollars and more. Hope brad is not getting angry with me, but I am straight out to find a random post by you to give you some rep. This is the best that has happend all week. At least untill I get laid tomorrow..:)

Found one silly little bug.
It takes away the spaces if you do rainbow higlighting....or is that done on purpose???

Good work Cander. This is the first time I'm using your FF Extension. http://www.vbforums.com/attachment.p...postid=1772157
Finally.
Thanks, Cander.
Not done on purpose. Ill look into that noteMe.
Thanks.....Maybe I should steal Peets title, and become the Bug Slayer....:D
Problem. Its not the Extension. Its vBulletin. It strips out the space. Ill look into something to workwaround that on my end though.
Hmmm....weird. I can't remember that vBulleting 2 did this...But I remember that vBulletin 2 used to have the letter H as an *...:)
ABCDEFGHIJKLM
Fixed it by not trying to color the spaces. RE-download now.
This is seriously sweet!
Thanks very much :thumb:
I am downloading some symbol files so I can't restart te bower the next 15minutes, but looking at Valleysboy1978 post, it looks like you did it. Great job.

I hope to soon get all the smilies into the extension so that we can set the Thread typing box style to Basic which shows just the plain old text box. The default Standard and guided modes are horribly slow and choppy.
:(
Do you need more icons? THis is a great page to find icons:
Lots of categories....tell me if you need help to pick some out.
ØØ
you forgot the link...
Heheheh....typicaly me....:D

I also would like to get the file on a permanent website location so I can use the Update functionality in Firefox so people can just click a button in FF to update
How do you install the bloody thing?
Nothing happens when I try to "open it with FF".
Pretend I am a user or something, really condescend like you got a pair!
What version of FF are you using? Are you using the latest 1.0 like you should if you had a some intelligence?
Did you rename it to a .xpi file instead of .zip like my instructions said?
Hows that? :p
you should get a popup dialog askin if you want to install Now.

If you have an older version of FF....look for an older thred with nearly the same thread title...and you will find a version for you...:)
actually it should still work with .8 or higher. But I cant verify that . Ok I could but dont want to.
Hehhehe....nice comment...:)...added to the quote thread..:)
blah. Be nice if someone could email me the extension in .xpi form. I cannot change it from zip for whatever reasons :ehh:

Sendt.....I did you two favours in one...I sendt it, and added you to the lesbian convention survey mailing list. Enjoy your stay.

ty :afrog:
it does not work with the good editor
:(
Whats the "good editor"?
He probably mean the filthy WYSIWYG editor...:)
WYSIWYG is for pansies.
Cander please view: http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=345372
We are all working as a community and i could do with your expertise :thumb:
Im trying to achieve a similiar thing which will highlight Delphi, HTML & VB Keywords/tags
His extension has a VB key higlighter. And it shouldn't be a problem for you to copy paste and do the same for HTML or Delphi code...

I was looking for this thread yesterday, but couldn't find it.
Now, I have! w00t!
Hehehe....just ask me...I know where every thread from the last 4-5 years are..:D...
PS: Cander, while we got the thread here. What is the difference on the vbOverlay.bak and vbOverlay.xul file?
Can this extension be used for Opera?

Well i figured it might work, as Opera can be identified as IE, FireFox and Opera :ehh:
This is a test of the emergency broadcast system
Just to clear up what is meant by open with firefox, you open up firefox and click File, Open then select the .XPI file...

The .bak was just an old file I backed up while coding. I just forgot to delete it when I no longer needed it. It serves no purposeQuote:

Would actually be easy to add in new syntax highlighters to the extension.Quote:

Thanks Cander
But what about the .bak vs xul file cander? Is the bak file a backup file, or has it any purpose?

Holy crap this is nice!
How about having it so that if you havn't highlighted text and there's nothing in the clipboard it hides menu items that need text as input?
If you could that, that would be awesome :thumb:Quote:
