The Critical Notification thingy that I downloaded from Windows Update just told me there were updates; I went to the site, clicked a couple links, and they were installed. That's :cool:.

me too, i would always click "stop using task..." and it would keep running :(
I perodically check windows update anyway so I don't need the notification thingy.
You're missing the point: it fixes your computer with security and performance patches.
and you said you hate MS... :D:D just one more thing that you donwload so they keep track of you :rolleyes:
I never said that I hated MS, I just don't devote my life to supporting them.
