Job & company Ad website.
Right all
As discussed in Chit Chat.
We all know how agencies can be a pain in the A**SE.
With all the problems we face trying to get a job through agencies we have come up with the idea of creating a site developers such as ourselves can post CV's. This way we can promote our knowledge, expertise and personal profiles.
In addition companies could post job vacancies, requirements, skills etc. This would save companies the extortionate fees agencies charge and be able to assess the skills themselves.
With the majority of us working in the industry we have a head start on any agency and provide FREE access which would be advantages to both developers and companies.
All are welcome.
~~~~~~~ AHA ! BUT ~!!!! !!!~~
I don't think it would take money to build this site until you wanted to market and/or host it, then we can finds a sponsor ? Maybe ? Prapps ??
Where I think the key to this will lie is in the afilliation to such an organisation or Forum such as this one.
Yep, companies need to know, but, say for arguments sake, the site we create is either linked to, or integrally a part of a recognised industry bench-mark for developers (is there such a place ???), then, by association, companies would be encouraged to look there ?
I don't envisage this to be profit making at all, but a SIMPLE mechanism for advertising our CV's/skillsets, Any candidate can register, provide 2 bona-fide references and keep their core skills up to date. Companies could then search for skills that are kept up to date and in their chosen areas.
Bingo ! interviews galore (I wish), no fees, no admin, no aggro, bit like yer own Hotmail account ?
I don't give a fig if there's no middleman, I can use that to my advantage in negotiating remuneration from the company.
**** FREE ****
is the keyword here. Breaks most concept boundaries...!
The only costs involved could be from the host required. Get a sponsor whom we say, get a few links and yer laughing, no fee based system has to apply....and we complete the circle.
Design it right, it can be self maintaining to a great extent....
Also re, getting companies to use the service: Free, er I say again, Free......?
I'm in anyway....
