What program do you use to get your MP3s? I used to use Napster, but I want something better than Napster is now. I am currently stuck with BearShare but the Gnutella network is unreliable.

I'm using Morpheus. It seems pretty decent.
:)
kazaa/morpheus
I just tried Morpheus. It seems cool but I hate the way you can't select multiple items in the "Traffic" pane.
thats the reason you gave up morpheus? :p
morpheus rules (its the only thing that works through the proxy at work too)
I used to have audiogalaxy until when they did something to the firewall :( Now I use limewire but gnutella can't be compared with what audiogalaxy gives you :(
The interface is much crappier than Napster. It is horribly organized.Quote:

yeah how is Audio Galaxy? Napster is crap now. I guess untill they work on their filters or someone actually pays per month it will be of any value. I cant complain napster gave me over 1000 mp3's........ But i went to audio the audio Galaxy web site and i cant find any place where you can sign up. I do like the large punk selection though.
The KaZaa/Morpheus network all the way. Nothing can stop that.

I got alot from Napster, and aint tried it for ages, I used Audiogalaxy for a while... But all i do is get FTP servers, try and wind my way from a ratio account to a leech account then i DOWNLOAD, im just finishing my last of my 1Gb MP3 queue :D
I heard that a lot of the Gnutella Hosts you try to connect to deny your request if you have a slow connection and/or you have a small amount of files to share. People get around this by sharing their whole hard drive, and just saying they are connected by FO.
Still, it takes forever to connect to a Gnutella Host on a dial-up, and how are your supposed to add files to your collection to get it up to the minimum 'non-boot-off' level so you can begin downloading!?!?!?
I've never tried Morpheus, but I hear it doesn't eat up peoples Internet Balance at school (where you pay per kilobyte). Dunno how it would do that but if it does, I gotta get my school to get a CD burner.
Uuh yeah, Bearshare rocks! At least for speed, i got 4M/s cumulative on 5 downloads
audiogalaxy rules...to sign up download the satellite. And their punk section does rule :D
BTW, no adware and no spyware. I run Ad-Aware all the time and even some "bad" cookies irritate me.
