I designed a user control. I added an exe project. I closed the user control designer and then placed the usercontrol onto a blank form in the exe project. When I run the project, I get the following message:
System error &H80004015(-2147467243). The class is configured to run as a security ID different than the caller.
Any ideas as to what's going on?

Worked with UserControl for a long time and never came across such a problem...
Did you set the Project2 as Start-Up and Form1 as the Start-Up form ? Debugging Tab of Project Properties have your UserControl as the startup component ?
If this doesnt work, launch your usercontrol in the browser. Remove Project 2 and the form it contains. And just run your UserControl...the IE Browser should run with your embedded UserControl....I hope it works.
Thanks for your reply, William. The day before you reply, I had some major computer problems which forced me to reformat my hard drive and install everything back on my computer. I just tried the user control test again and didn't get any kind of error message, and was not able to recreate it by changing any of the settings on the projects. Hopefully I won't see that error again, it sounded more like a system problem than a VB problem. Thanks for your input.
