Writing .WAV directly to the drive
Hi m8s,
my problem is, that I want to write a .WAV file directly from the line-in of the soundcard (SB compatible) to the harddrive. I tried it with the MCI controls and saw, that it needs the double storage place because it writes the .WAV file to a temporary file and then copies it to the .WAV file. How smart.
I saw in several .WAV manipulating applications, that it is possible to write directly to the harddrive. How can this be done ?!
I want to write a time recorder for experience and practical reasons. I want to record line-in radio shows at a time I already left the house.
Can the community help me ?! I could nearly need all tips on this 'directly .WAV writing' topic.
Best regards
