check this out
i bought a laptop yesterday (486 DX2, 4 mb ram, modem, 350 mb hard drive) LOADED with software
windows 3.11 workgroup
vb3
wordperfect
ms word
powerpoint
pcanywhere
anti virus software
on and on
guess for how much
$7 CAD (thats like 4 USD) sweet huh? :)
ok now to my question
anyone know if it will support win95?
someone said something about some mathematical thing that windows 95 needs for it to run, anyone know anything about this?

I actually found that funny.
You were describing this really cheap laptop and seemed so excited that it cost so little, then you pop the question of whether it supports Windows 95. :D
The fact that it might not support windows 95 shows how slow that thing is..and why it cost so little..
I don't know if anybody else found it funny, but I did..

he meant the crucial memory company....you said it goes for about $100 on ebay, thats why no one I know has ever used ebay :rolleyes: but why spend money upgrading it? sell it on ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you just said so yourself that it would go for around 100, you got it for 7, $93 profit...keep doing this...$$$ :rolleyes: :cool:

Of course.
I ran Windows 95 on a 486 with 4 megs of ram for a year and a half. No problems at all.
The damn thing booted faster than my 166, too.
