I have been working on and updating a vb6 program for some years. The size of the compiled .exe file is about 2Mb.
Whenever I have a week or more when I don't update the program and then come back to it, I find it fails to load. However, I have found that I can overcome this by deleting the associated .vbw file.
This is no more than an irritant, but can anyone advise on why this is happening?
The *.vbw files keep information about opened window and their positions on the screen.
Why the project fails to load I don't know. What I can suggest to try is to install this add-in: https://www.vbforums.com/showthread....n-project-load
Download it, copy to a folder that you want, go to the Bin folder and install the DeleteWbw.dll add-in file by right clicking on the file "DeleteWbw Register (run as Admin).bat" and run it as admin.
After installing it ensure that it is loaded in the IDE:
