What are you talking about? Is this a VB.NET question or a forum question?
Actualy it is a forum question but I can't see a general forum for VB. Should this be sent to the webmaster of the forum?
I have posted to General Developer Forum but as there is nobody there I will not get any replies to that.
I've never seen a message about files being/getting deleted.... Then again, I've never uploaded huge files....
BUT, In the upper RIGHT hand top of this page are YOUR-> SETTINGS
Under Setting is a section called-> Miscellaneous
Click on -> ATTACHMENTS if you want to delete anything.
When I post. I can go to advanced. I can click on manage attachments. This gives me. THIS.
It has 15 previously uploades to previouse posts NOW 16. Some are over a year old. However, it states that uploads not utelized within one hour will be deleted. NOT SO.
I think this is an admintrators problem.
If you upload an image and then attach that image to a post, that would be considered "using" the attachment. It can't be deleted, since if it was it would no longer be visible in the thread.
I've never uploaded anything here to my knowledge, but I'm going to upload an image and not do anything further with it and see what happens. If it isn't automatically deleted, then I would agree that the site isn't doing what it says it will.
The short answer -> Don't Worry About It...... (have you ever had a file get deleted all by itself)
In the upper RIGHT hand top of this page are YOUR-> SETTINGS
MY ACCOUNT
General Settings
Miscellaneous-> Enhanced Attachment Uploading:
If you disable the ENHANCED part the message will go away.
I uploaded a test image earlier but didn't attach it into any threads. It was automatically deleted, as the site indicated it would be. From that standpoint, everything seems to be working as indicated.
