Hi Folks,
is this correct (see subject-line)?
Guessing that's to keep the bots down, right?
Yes and Yes.
And the number of regular spammers has taken a huge cut too.
Funny how the slightest inconvenience will dramatically drive down bots and human spammers.
The spammers that still get through are higher quality spammers. It takes a person asking a question with a subtle ad as part of the question.
All my steampunk desktop VB6 programs are part of a much larger marketing scam as yet undiscovered. I don't even know its true nature myself.
That reminded me of Azure. We where promised optimal MS security, we got hacked, had to go to on extra security we paid more.
Of course cloudFlare is 10 times better than Azure. Now cloudfire, I don't know, if it is not a typo you might get ever worse results from an unknown service.
Does CloudFlare have a "Don't make Waterfox users do 2 captchas a day" option
Remove all your add in's or change the browser for the forum or use a VPN with a Greek address. Apparently they completely forgot about us and I haven't got a captcha for months.
An interesting read https://blog.cloudflare.com/introduc...of-personhood/
There are other solutions that involve the administration of the site like using Turnstile add on that eliminate the captcha but given the fact that the site was practical unusable in order to be convinced to put on a reverse proxy solution, don't hold your breath.

That needs a question mark.
I think it IS a question mark.
But my name isn't Mark.
Bloody cloudflare. Validation on Palemoon takes about 3 minutes and multiple clicks. It just keeps circling and doing bugger-all.
Put 'Brave' stop worrying ;)
