Indepententsoft.Office Anyone use it?
The nuget fetch can be found at https://www.nuget.org/packages/Independentsoft.Office/
I'm curious if this can indeed be used to create, edit, save and print xlsx files without Excel installed in either vb.net or c#. I don't have a machine that either doesn't have or never had Excel installed on it, nor do I have VM ware to try it. The machine I need to use this with may have Open Office on it, but will never have Excel on it.
So does anyone have experience with this? and can it handle xlsx files without MS Office installed?
edit,
To be honest, I don't really care if Independentsoft is my final solution. My requirements just need me to open an xlsx file, edit it, send it to a printer and save it as pdf all without having Excel installed.
Re: Indepententsoft.Office Anyone use it?
Not with that one specifically, but I've used other packages before to read Excel files w/o Excel being installed (well, without NEEDing Excel installed, my work machine does have Excel installed) ... Can't test it at the moment, but my home system doesn't have office, I think it might have Libre Office at most installed, so I can give it a shot later and see how well it handles it. It is Friday though, so I do have a game to go to, so it's going to be really later before I can give it a go, so someone else may get to it before I can.
