Problem installing hard drive.
I had an old Maxtor 10gb EIDE hard drive that I sold to a friend, and I installed it for him earlier today. I installed it fine, but when I booted the machine, the CDROM drive wasn't recognized(the HDD worked fine). I had to install the HDD on the same channel as the CDROM drive, because the channel with the primary hard drive only had one connecter. I didn't have any jumpers connected to the hard drive, could this be a problem?
Thanks,
-Dennis

It dosent matter all the time, but most require it, Try putting the HDD slave, if that dosent work get a jumper for the CD drive :)
some tin foil can help if you dont have a jumper :D
