could be that, while you are typing, the mouse pointer is over the access window, and by accident you touch the touchpad
aka 'the cat catches the mouse'

What about Citrix? Are you accessing it via Citrix by any chance? I know I've had problems in the past where I'm accessing a client resource via Citrix, which then feels compelled to force itself to have focus when ever I switch to a local window. I had to completely remove Citrix, and re-install a newer client receiver. and then make a couple of registry changes to get rid of the problem.

Dunno if it still works in 365, but when opening the db try holding the shift key until the db has opened...
In the older versions ( I think ) this used to not run any code... macros etc...

I open it that way every time. behavior still exists
