How to hide a UserControl at Run-Time?

I would like to know how to hide a control at run-time. I want it to work like the timer control does, it is invisible at run-time. Any hints.

I have done this several ways buy just spotted something that seems fairly obvious - just click on the control - find the 'invisableatruntime' property in the properties window and set it to true - job done?
