screeeeeeeeeech
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I'm really getting pissed off...
When I'm listening to music, or playing a game, or anything that involves sound, there is this horrible screeeching noise... I don't think it's my sound card, 'cause if I just wind the MP3 back a few seconds, it works fine....
but this is getting really annoying
I've posted about this before, but didn't get any answers... A friend of mine says it could be 'cause my sound card is located too close to my video card... if I don't get any other suggestions I'll try moving it, but I don't wanna take this POS apart if I don't have to....
Thanks,
Dennis

Happens to me sometimes when playing MP3's. Not sure what causes it.

Does anybody have a solution to this?
It's really really annoying.....

In addition to moving the analog sound card, maybe move the speakers and/or the cables.
I'm working on a ThinkPad 600 right now, and you can hear the noise on the left speaker every time the hard drive spins. It sits right over the drive.
But hey, its a laptop, so I'm not worried about sound quality.

I'm using headphones right now, and it does it with speakers too...

Ah, then it is at the source. I guess try moving the sound card.
I honestly don't expect much from that, but try it.

I'll wait to see if anybody else has suggestions... I don't feel like taking my computer apart right now...

Is the card sitter correctly, try lifting the lid and pushing the card down, sometimes when they heat up they get lose:eek: OMG...that could be taken an entirely different way:rolleyes:
So if er you have push it in and still get the problem, move it to another slot:eek: Just can't get a single meaning this morning:rolleyes: Not even trying and this is heading for the gutter:D
