Wow I think this is the first time since I have been on this board I have seen you ask a question :p
If my memory is correct usually the first few memory address for the BIOS contain a large number and the last 2 digits are a code for the manufacturer. I can prob find the page that has the key for the 2 digit codes.
On a side note: when I tried your code on mine it blew up.

Hmm I can't find the page I saw that info on a while back, but I ran across 2 pages that might help you. The second link acutally shows you an example of a manuf string in a memory location for the BIOS.

On NT/2000 you need to use WMI for things like this.
