How to Uninstall VS 2005?

On Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit,
how can I completely uninstall VS 2005?

I tried the Program & Features uninstall option,
but it hangs after a while, complaining that Hard Disk 2 is missing.

My computer has not, nor ever had, a Hard Disk 2, so I am stuck.

I advise formatting your system - unless - uninstalling MVS. You cannot completely uninstall MVS
