Pearl Harbor

I went to watch pearl harbor tonight..and i admit that i expected better..

I'll break it down like this..


















































3hr movie - 2 1/2 hours of love scenes - 30 mins of actual battles..guts..gore... = a kind of a let down :(

I saw it too. The effects were great but it was too long without enough action :(

According to critics it is crap. And I almost died when I heard it was 3 hrs long - even Thin Red Line wasn't that long and I had numb bum for days!!

Also it doesn't follow history very well - and makes the Japaneese out to be brave warriors so as not to offend them. That's what I heard anyway

I heard that they took out the speach saying the Japanese and the Germans lost, so they wouldn't hurt their feelings...... :confused:

They portrayed the Japanese as old wise men. Their war room was a chalkboard outside.....while the US had a normal one. We had a pacific ocean model in the war room....they had a pool. The Japanese women all wore the robes with paper umbrellas. Very stereotypical. The movie was "Okay", but not great.

What do you think of the leading lady (the nurse who gets it on with Ben Affleck)

I mean first she goes for ben..then for his best friend.
After they both left to go on the doolittle mission over japan..i thought she was going to go for cuba gooding jr! :eek:

Although she is very attractive ;)

I thought it was very funny when the character "danny" was dying in ben afflecks arms in china..and then ben tells him "You cant die buddy..youre going to be a father!!"

HAHAHA What a time too find that out..
