Having just assisted in answering this question yet again, I'm adding my support.
I say let them ask beginner questions over and over. It allows you and me to sinisterly add to our post counts!!
Don't let HB catch you!
;) It shows how little attention I pay to my post count that I've only just noticed I'm nearly at 4096 and "Throbbing Member" status
c'mon john it cant be that hard to put a link in the DB forum can it?
hey i could always just put it in my sig! And answer every question everytime!
ha!:p
parksie: wait till ya reach 6969;) Then we'll see if ya members still throbbing.
... Who is HB?
Beacon: LOL
Dave: Honeybee
ahhhh!
thanks
Enjoying yourselves at poor honeybee's expense? *wipes his eyes*
There is another legal way of increasing your post count. I don't think this should be allowed, but what the heck. Everybody is making fun of me, so here's some more food for ya.
The Communication Area is another place which adds to your post count. I have realized this since we started building the VB-World members' site.
.
It's true.
The comms forum is where the majority of Behemoth and I's sperm count, errrrr I mean post count resides. That and the Sentience thread...
Perhaps you could tell us which ways are "illegal"?Quote:

Clearly having fun and private jokes constitutes "illegal".Quote:

lol...............am only 3000 or so posts away from anti-Guru status, unless John wants to step it.
John
Just stop banging your head against your desk. I will not be diverted from this noble aim.
P.S New servers are rocking dude.
Well if rocking the server makes em go faster i'm for it!
Sorry terrible i know!
:p
But come on john a miserable little link!;)
I think The legal way to get high post count is by helping other people.
Thanks all for your help.
And anyone that can get john to change the search to include 3 letter words - at least when you have another word too - then give it a try.
Well, now if you have a .45 Calibre, and know where Mr. John Percival resides, you could overtake Megatron in a couple of seconds! ;)Quote:

Jethro, having fun and private jokes on the help forums does constitute illegal ways of increasing your post count from my point of view, but I think I shall leave out you guys who already have too many posts to bother about the count. :p
Honeybee's growin' up, whaddya say? ;)
.
Maybe legal if you accept that definition, which l don't think has been printed anywhere here on the forums. But in enforcing this, the site just becomes another programming venue, which :o makes it less appealling to visit.Quote:

Try www.blitzbasic.com to see what l mean by boring, not-interesting etc sites. Generally the humour is posted at some one who gets the meaning behind the statement. Ergo that's whu you occassionally see a weird post of thread. Like they say in the anti-censorship lit, if you don't like it then don't read it.
why is posting jokes bad do we get paid for our post count? ;)
a horse walks into the bar and the bartender says
oops no jokes I'm sorry:D
Thats True
Get ready for shragel joining myself, Parksie, Dennis, and SD, and by the way eggy in posting really weird things through out the site;)
By the way, just had an answer to a net question, which went along the lines of "disconnect always works"...lol.....was getting quite irritate at the problem till that arrived:p
The only time when allowed to post Jus Whatever Flies Thru Your Head - Is after answering a somone a quistion that was already asked tons of times on this forum.
John - How about adding a most common Question Forum.
Somethin' Like A FAQ Page. It will help alot.
good Idea shrangel i'm still new to vb but have some ideas but alot of times i just dont know where to start and other times i hate asking a stupid question thats been answered a hundred times.
Hey, those are the only sort l can answer. :eek:Quote:
