Start with MTS

Hi

I have some questions about MTS:

Does it work without problems if my clients have win 95 ?
(does the client need to add som program or dll:s)

Does anybody know if it is slower when you have a 3-tier solution
instead of a 2-tier solution ?

Yes, you client need to register the MTS package you export from the MTS Server. The additional DLLs will be installed automatically on the client machine.

It depends on how you distribute the work load on the client and the server. If you have 3 computer, then 3-tier may be faster(1 for client, 1 for MTS and 1 for Data Server). If you don't have enough resource and run MTS and Database server on the same machine, then it may be slow. In this case, you don't gain much performance benefit from using 3-tiers.
