Im a beginner in vb.(6 months) I do know my way around basic vb.
The question: how can I use visual basic to communicate with an external device, eg. another computer or a devices connected to the serial port.
please direct me to a site which could prodive more info.:)

well, if you want to communicate via serial port you have several options. first, try the MSComm control. if you need more precise(robotics) control, try using the parallel port instead (easier to use). i can help you with parrell port control if thats what you want!
