I was just wondering how many people were affected by my REBOOT link. John or James, I can't remember which, took it off my signature because he said it was causing problems. Vote, and tell me how many people decided to click the link.

I didn't even know it was there.
Was it using ActiveX, Java, JavaScript, JScript, ? and did it only work with certain browsers?
I'm hoping that Java, JavaScript, Netscape, and Opera are all incapable of participating.
All it was, was good old fashioned HTML. It doesn't matter which browser, I don't think. It's a fault in Windows (not many of those:rolleyes: ) If you get updates at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com , it won't crash your computer, but if not, you get the BSOD. I thought it was funny, and if clicked it, you either aren't very bright, or you were way to curious.
Ah, well, if I was surfing from home, then I still don't have any need to worry. Linux is pretty nice that way.
The link that opens Con? And crashes you? I didn't click it, but I did retrieve that web pages source, and I have the web page's address as well.
I posted a link to it on my site many times as well :)
Could anyone send me the code please? It will make an intresting reading
Code? What code ;) The bug is any file access to a path with >1 DOS device names in. For example
file:///c|/c*n/c*n (censored to prevent mishaps)
Parksie, could you send the uncensored version to me through email at [email protected]
Sent :)
No, I was never infected. That was my sister....honest!
So Helga was your sister? Right...expect a call from my lawyer...I want compensation for that $10 ;)
