How to list recording and playback devices?

I want to show in a combobox control the recording devices of the computer and be able to change the prefered one.
In the second combobox I want to do the same, but with playback devices.

That's really cool. What all have you done other than the GUI design? Did you put any effort into the code yet, because a quick google search gives me quite a few examples of the API calls needed in order to do what you want to do.
