The startup tab will show everything thats starting up EXCEPT things in the system.ini shell line. If there is a file path to a program in the system.ini (in the windows directory) on the same line that says shell=explorer.exe but after it, it wont be in msconfig. Thats how lots of viruses and trojans make sure they get started up coz that loads even when you are in safe mode :eek:
