How to i print to a serial port? I have a serial printer plugged in to COM2. I need to be able to print directly to the printer by means of opening the com port and using the print command. I am using VB DOS, which is very similar to VB5 and VB6 (but without the OCX's etc.)
to open the printer port directly i have done this which works fine:
open "lpt1:" for output as #1
but how do i do this for a com2 port? Is it just
open "com2:" for output as #2
or do i have to add more information about the com port???
Please help!
