I think that it's fairly obvious that Megatron is the best of the VB forums, but who's the second?

Aaron Young and Serge are the best, IMHO better than Megatron... Sorry Megatron :o
Oi! where am I ?!?!? :p
Yeah, but they're not around as much...Megatron answers most of the questions that turn up.Quote:

Well, Megatron is surely the best around for a quick and a good answer in the general vb questions.
My second is Guv, who is as good as Megatron, but in the Math forum. He does write a lot, but each single word from him is important. :)
I vote for (vb)chenko then : )
I don't know why Dennis or Yonatan are options...i have never seen Dennis answer a VB question (C++ maybe, but not VB) and Yonatan hasn't done so for months.
around ~1,000 of my posts are in the VB forum...
in that case i apologise - like i said, I hadn't seen any but if you have...
I was refering to General VB Questions. I don't bother much with the API, Games & Graphic ones etc...
I'd have to vote for :parksie 'cos he's helped me out loadsa times. Plus his name seems to get EVERYWHERE on these forums
I linger...like a bad smell
Did I help you loads of times? I thought it was only once? Oh well :p
Nope you've helped me on several occasions. Wondered what the smell was :p
:) cool!.....and there is no vb on my username :pQuote:

Well the second best is the person who sorts this problem http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=311776 :D
Therefore it's in brackets :P
Well, I'm not voting :).
I believe they are all greatest in all areas.
For example, parksie, somewhat great in VB, but the best in C++ as well as Vlatko and a few others.
Myself, only VB.
kedaman is good with mathematics and graphics and all that good binary stuff :D - VB and C++.
Yonatan - VB, great at it, but he's not active anymore :(.
MartinLiss - VB, great at it as well.
Mark Sreeves (not listed) - seems to be the Javascript/HTML/ASP guy, but also knows VB.
Dennis Wrenn - used to be active, knows VB and C++ - is now the smartass and one of the kings in the Chit Chat boards, but he is smart in areas as well.
Aaron Young - active somewhat, very intelligent (the guy writes the most excellent and useful codes) (a lot of people do as well). - VB
Serge - smart, as like Aaron Young, not very active anymore. - VB
Wayne (HeSaidJoe) - smart, knows his VB stuff, and is helpful, but as he said himself, he's not making VB a career, as he can't. Says he's 50. Yeah, right!
He must only be 30 :D. He did just get married a year ago, I think.
Clunietp - smart, haven't seen him on the VB forums, but smart with ASP, and HTML and all that good web stuff
Chris - smart, knows his API :D. Given some excellent code and even improved some code to better suit you.
Fox - haven't seen him too much around, but he produced a great code coloring application, and with great looking interface as well, so I believe he knows his stuff :D.
And there's a lot of other people that know a lot as well.
So many, but can't name them all.
Also, thanks for putting my name at the top, I feel so special :D.
I think Matthew said it all. Everyone is good in his area of programming. If i have to vote i would say that, without him and Megatron the General VB and API forums wouldn't be what they are today, full with info and reliable. (keep on the good work ;) ).
As for the C++ forums where i spend most of my time, i have to say that in there parksie is the emperor. It is his empire (right parksie ;) ).
All of you guys are the best, see ya! :D
Whenever I have a difficult problem two names spring to mind - Megatron and Matthew Gates.
Also Chris for Winsock - he seems to really enjoy working with Winsock.
It's nice to have you guys here. Thank you for all your help. :)
no one mentioned kedaman! :p ... !!!!!!!!!!!
I think a lot of the C++ guys like vlatko deserve an honorable mention...I mean it's a vb site and they stick around to answer questions from one of the smallest forums! (and vlatko posts all those tutorials for the beginners, he's got the post stuck in a text file now  :p )
one of the smallest?
ASM, basic, project requests, vbsquare code book, etc...
Well, I know my place...947th
we have the same number of posts(1477)......... :p
