Capture messagebox text

Using sendkeys to transfer data from excel to another application. The other app may display an error dialogue box. I can detect when this happens but I need to extract the actual error text message within the dialogue. Couldn't find an API function to get this property. Help appreciated!

You have to get a handle to the message box and then go thru it's childs. Look for 'Static' as class
