Who thinks Microsoft should pay the guy? Who thinks he should just sell it as his own language? Who thinks he should give it to MS, if he hasn't already?
Please state your opinion. As for me, I feel he deserves to receive money for his work.

Who should pay him, and why? Are you suggesting that he should sell what he has created? That would be a novel way to be paid for what you create.
