How can I make a screen saver? without having to open my program, but a REAL screen saver? Oh, and if you have the time, how do I change my modem speaker volume?
Thanks!

Check out my tutorial on Visual Basic screensavers at http://micah.carrick.com/archived/VBSaver.zip
Although I'm no expert, I did figure out how to make a screen saver and the tutorial is pretty complete.
It main points are determining parameters passed to .scr file, making sure only one instance runs, and hiding the cursor. The tutorial also includes the complete source code.

My web browser said 404 site not found on server. Did you spell it wrong or is it just my computer?

For the modem volume, and I'm not sure if it will work on your computer, go to start, settings, control panel, modems, then properties. That should have a form that allows you to change your volume. At least, it does on my modem.
Didn't work, but thanks for your time!

Micah - your screensaver tutorial is champion! I made a screensaver in no time, and even got it to play an avi (as opposed to circles).
With regard to the modem speaker volume, you have to go to Control Panel, Open Modems, then open properties for your modem. Click Connection tab, then Advanced and in the extra settings box you need to enter an AT string, but i've forgotten what. It should be listed in your modem manual.
Thanks,

If it ain't broke - don't fix it :)
I found your tutorial great also, but is it supposed to show in the display screen under screen saver? Because it didn't show up there for me.
IT WAS AWSOME :)
