hi,
i want to know, is it neccessacy to link text box with the interface even when u know that the access will be in the server or code with the interface so that it find the server manually
i would like to use lan network.

Don't fully understand what you are asking here can you provide a little more detail and what report writing tool are you using?

i am just asking that do i have to link the text boxes with the field in the access will it work with the server or do i have to write code to link it on the access because i want to use server

I still don't understand. Are you talking about using the textbox to enter the Connection String or are you going to use the Textboxes to display the data in the database tables. What does does any of this have to do with Reports, this is the Reporting forum.
