Urgent !....WinInet in VPN....

Dear All,

i'm doin' something that will perform a test within a Virtual Private Network.

i need something that can detect the connection to a specific application server, namely AS for below, which is within the VPN of coz...since the environment is NOT connected to the Internet, can i have any ways of detecting that the connection to the AS...??

how can i perform this checking in VB environment, WIHTOUT using the MSINET.OCX...but mayb appropriate APIs can be used....???

can i have the details of it ?

i attached one that i test in Standard EXE environment...however, i'd like to have something different...
