I just got a Galaxy Nexus.
First impressions: WOW! This phone is HUGE!
Later impressions: This phone is incredibly slick and fast! And any negative comments I can think about the big screen is immediately overriden by how much information can be placed on the screen. It's a phone I don't feel like I'm having to squint in order to see text or have only a paragraph at a time on screen when web browsing.
Also, I can't for the life of me see where the pixels meet - the screen is amazingly sharp and fine, and for consuming textual information, it is a treat.
Compared to my LG Optimus One from before, everything feels like a massive step-up. The internal storage is 16GB, the speakers on the back is nice and loud for a mobile phone. The camera is good, but not iPhone brilliant I would say (I still get chunks of yellow in the photo when taking photos indoors with the light, but I suspect it is the light because daytime photos are absolutely fine). Also, I'd never thought I'd get used to the software buttons, but alas I have and hell hasn't frozen over yet. The new running app management system is also pretty neat too, although the button, when pressed, has a brief delay before the menu shows up, and this sort of irks me a bit.
Only downside I can think of is that it has no SD card. Apart from that, a very polished phone. If you like Android devices but are held back from your current phone for hardware reasons, you'll like the Galaxy Nexus. If you are an Apple fan, nothing here will light you on fire, frankly (it's the same old Android, but with a lick of polish).

Congrats!
The only thing I don't like with Samsung is the build materials. Their phone feel very light, plasticky and cheap compared to others like HTC, Nokia etc. The Galaxy Nexus is probably their only phone I'd be willing to look the other way when it comes to that.
How's Android 4 doing? I haven't had chance to use it yet.

What is your Antutu Benchmark score?

Thanks for the congrats! :D Now that you mention it, the phone has got an incredibly plastic feel to the back. I can't say that it has bothered me, otherwise I'd probably mention it about now. And the phone is deceptively light. You see the size of it and expect it to be quite heavy, but nope! Pretty darn light :D
Ice Cream Sandwich is incredibly nice and slick. The UI has had a bit of an overhaul to make it look less Neo-ish from Gingerbread (thank goodness!) and a bit more sophisticated without looking too geeky. Nice square corners around widgets and general aesthetics made it seemed like the designers who came up with the UI loved rulers and cared more about aesthetics than the Gingerbread team. Great combo.
The battery life has actually impressed me a lot. Normally on modern hardware devices, I expect the battery life to suffer quite a bit from the old phones, especially given that the hardware on the older models were made out of Papier-mâché (if going by the feel of speed of the OS on those devices), but this one seems to be a runner. Even with me constantly trying to use it every now and again, and even with multiple apps downloading data constantly, it clocks in at 12 hours and over 20 minutes. I might try going one day without even touching the phone, but I know I won't be able to :p
Just one last thing to mention - I didn't really care for multitasking in previous Android phones, since before it was just a grid of recently opened apps, which felt lazy IMHO. Now in 4.0 you get a whole list of active apps with appropriate thumbnails and all! Better yet, swipe them to the side (any side will do) and they will be closed! It's genius and I absolutely love the system, feels as intuitive as webOS. If you have Android 4.0 and are using one of those awful Task Killer apps from the App Store, slap yourself in the face immediately.
I can't think of anything else to say - the UI is extremely polished, GTA 3 runs like a dream on ICS w/Galaxy Nexus (and so does Minecraft), don't get Sonic CD because that is an incredibly slow port for Android with an excruciatingly long initial download which fails nearly all the time, Onlive on Android is actually pretty sweet if you have the internet connection to handle it, and overall it is a blast of a phone. I can't see myself trading in this phone any time soon TBH, as opposed to my LG Optimus One, which only lasted me about 6 months.
