Connect Xbox 360 with my PC
My bad. Xbox doesn't have bluetooth by default. When I saw "Wireless" I thought it would be bluetooth. :p
Since it has builtin wifi, I wish to connect my PC to it. So, what are the components that is needed ? Wifi adapter for my PC ?
Thanks
Re: Connect Xbox 360 with my PC
You have a few options. Wireless is probably the easiest. If you have a wireless router, you can plug your computer into the router with a cable and access the XBOX.
Another option is to use a cross-over cable from your computer directly to the XBOX.
I think the best option here is to use a wireless router though. Chances are, you already have one. Make the XBOX communicate with the wireless router. Then, simply plug your computer into the back of the wireless router. Now, the two will be able to communicate.
Have fun!

At present, I don't have a Wireless Router. But I do have a Cable Modem(CISCO) that I used to connect my computer to the net.
So, I have to buy a wireless router. Then connect the wire from modem to it and then connect a wire from my LAN card to it. Isn't it ?

But do I have to setup a home network ?
I am using Windows XP Pro SP3. At the moment, there is only one network connection, which is the internet connection via cable modem connected to my LAN card.
Re: Connect Xbox 360 with my PC
The wireless router will be the intermediary. There is an "internet" port on the router. You will plug the cable from your cable modem into that port. The router will then get the IP address from the cable modem. The router will then handle the network addressing via DHCP to the other devices connected either wirelessly or via wire.
Your computer will receive an IP and when you connect your XBOX, it too will receive an internal IP. The structure will most likely be 192.168.x.x. I would highly recommend you get the best router you can afford. XBOX Live will be much better with a faster N connection than a G. Spend the extra $$ and get a decent router. You will be much happier with the performance of the N card.
If you plan on connecting your XBOX wirelessly, you will need an N card for that too. I purchased one from eBay about a year ago for around $50. Take a look around and see what you can find.

Thanks. But I didn't got this part
The only thing needed is the Wireless Router. Isn't it ? I will connect my cable modem to the router(using a cable), and I'll connect my computer to this router (via cable). So, my Xbox could connect using it's inbuilt Wifi to the router.
Am I right?
And which one do you suggest for the router ? Any good brands ?

Re: Connect Xbox 360 with my PC
If your XBOX has built-in WIFI, then all you need is the wireless router. My XBOX doesn't have built-in WIFI, but the newer Black models may have it. My old white model didn't have built-in WIFI, so I had to purchase a Wireless N adapter for it.
