Best 3rd party asp.net controls?
Hi everyone,
Just curious for those who have evaluated and/or used third party controls for ASP.Net programming.
1) Which have you used/evaluated?
2) if you have evaluated, which did you choose and why?
3) If you have used, why did you choose the controls?
Just looking for feedback. I've had some speed issues using 3rd party AJAX controls in IE7 but not IE8 and am wondering if there are better choices that what I have (which at this point, in order to eliminate bias, I will not mention :) I will eventually, just trying to get some non-influenced feedback)
Thanks,
Jon

Nice controls. Is there anything free or everything is for evaluation?
I am using (forced to use) these controls http://www.likno.com/
they are making my life difficult because every update will crash some browser features. So i advice against.
Also i'm using some devexpress menus for a couple of weeks.I don't have an opinion yet but the problem is that although some are free for usage, they usually require some extensions to boost their usability, that are not free.

Have you had any noticeable issues with speed in IE7 vs IE 8 or above using these controls? I noticed a bit of lag in their demos, but since they are fairly lightweight it's hard to definitively tell.
Thanks

There are trials versions, but ultimately, you would need to buy their controls, there are not free controls from them, that I am aware of.

Not that I am aware of no. In fairness though, of late it is their Silverlight Controls that I have been using, not their ASP.Net ones.
