java applet

i have a HTML page in that im displaying a java applet which takes values from MySQL table and displays charts. it takes unique tickers from MySQL and displays charts in the applet.

is it possible to retrieve values from MySQL database and display them on the page after doing some calculations for selected ticker

below is the attached screen shot where i have seen this happening. the values in the red box @ bottom are automatically generated when i click the items in the list which is in applet on the left side wher its showing ndtc neclife nfl nifty etc
