Send a message

i would like to know how to send a message to another workstation on an intranet network without using winsock

I know this is probably very stupid... But if you are both wanting to talk to each other (the users not the computers). Why not use MSN messenger?

I think that it is the only M$ product that is half decent... Sorry if it seems like a stupid answer!

But i want to send only a message, and if you have the code that will do it, it will be good.
