ADO. Tried to install MDAC 2.1 and am getting error

I have heard good things about ADO. I wanted to test it. I downloaded two files. The first was a prerequisite for the MDAC 2.1 I then installed the MDAC 2.1 and I am getting an error message that the ODBCint.dll is a different version than the ODBCCP32.dll. It then says I need to reinstall the ODBC component to ensure proper operation. I tried this using the Office97 installation and I get the same error message. Anyone had the same issue and if so what did you do?

I was able to get it to work for anyone interested. I am impressed with it and like what I see so far. I had to rename ODBC32.DLL, ODBCINST.INI, ODBCINT.DLL, ODBC.INI to a file extension of OLD. Then I reinstalled the MDAC 2.1 and it worked fine.
