Figured this goes here...But anyways: I installed Ubuntu on my Flash Drive and liked it so far..so I downloaded Code::Blocks to try out an IDE..But, alas..I was lost. I am use to Visual Studio 2010 when I just develop a "Windows Application." When I went to create an app there were many Libraries.
.and then I came to the question: "Can I just somehow port my programs to Windows and back?" I wish to create some stuff for both OSes..but is that possible..To just easily port back and forth? I was gonna try my hand in the Gaming Field (Obviously start with easy stuff..), but I don't want to create anything for just Linux.. So basically my question is just: Which IDE should I use and is it possible to easily create applications for both Linux and Windows?
Figured that I should also add that this is truly my first time breaking into C++ seriously. I have only used VB.Net, PHP, and ofcourse HTML/CSS. I wish to go into C++ for all of its capabilities and from what I understand...can be Cross-Platform.
