IDE Code-Edit Context Menu Issues On Large Monitor

I'm using a Dell E6500 with and ASUS VW228TLB lcd monitor. When I move my vb6 ide on to this external monitor my right-click context menu in the code edit stops working. On some lines it won't pop-up at all and on others it misbehaves. It works fine on the laptop monitor.

I took me a fair bit of time to figure out that pattern. Before I try fiddling with resolution or other settings, I figured I'd ask here.

Has anyone else experienced/resolved this?

What exactly do you mean when you say "When I move my vb6 ide…."? Are you using dual monitors? Or unplugging one monitor and plugging in another? Or?

Dual monitors.

Later I noticed that if I change from a maximized code window on the large monitor directly to a sufficiently smaller window the right click menu works.
