Mounting an ISO file to a virtual drive

After doing some research I have come to the conclusion this is an impossible task to achieve within visual basic 6, correct me if i'm wrong. However, do any of you know a language that it would be easier to create or a simple program that does it that I could download and then call to open from my visual basic code?

Not sure your best option maybe go the C++ road, maybe also read on the iso format sure there maybe a dll somewere you can use, I am also not sure if nero has an SDK you can use. maybe do a serach
