Just a suggestion, if you are new to VB6 then you may wish to consider VB.NET. VB6 is losing support, is discontinued and not supported by microsoft and any apps created by it may cease to function in the future.
The main reason people use VB6 now is that they don't have the time or inclination to learn .NET. There are some who have a hard time accepting new technologies or "shifting gears". But if you are new to VB6, they you might as well go to VB.NET. The download is free.
