I can replicate this behavior on any machine with different network speed, OS, browsers, etc...
What's showing in the status bar when it freezes? (Just trying to see if we can identify where/what the issue is.
Thanks,
Brad!
When mine 'freezes' (IE or FireFox) it appears it is related to intelltxt? Occasionally, some 'ad' site is displayed on the statusbar also.
Few time I saw "Downloading picture..." and "Waiting..." however it mostly says "Done".
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the issue in order to test and diagnose it.
This behavior is still occurring for you guys? I haven't seen it once yet.
For me, yes. Whether is is 'fixable' or not, I don't know. Whether what I'm experiencing is the same as RhinoBull, I don't know.
To reproduce what I'm seeing.
1) Find a nice lengthy post -- maybe this one, the HitchHiker's Guide
2) When if finishes loading, start scrolling with wheel mouse or scrollbar & keep it up until....
3) As soon as the intelltxt starts loading the page freezes
I suspect it is simply because the app is parsing the page to find words to advertise on; and may be something we all have to just live with.
There was maybe half a second in Firefox, but no delay in chrome or Opera or IE.
I'm going to ask some coworkers to check, who may have slower connections and processors. I will report back.
Like I said I've tried on various machines but results are pretty much the same. Slowest connection for me is cable.
So far, nobody is seeing any issue that lasts more than ½ second. I've had people load it in three different parts of the country as well as one in the UK. I will keep asking.
Yes, this issue happens for me too and its only on pages that are large enough to have scrolling needed. Usually first time page loads will cause it to delay/freeze for about a second but when your scrolling and it locks for that second its kinda irritating.
Multiple geograpical locations, computers, OS' and I only run IE8 so cant compare against other browsers.
Looks like there are at few bottlenecks and looks like its ad related. Perhaps the ad server or partner has a lag in serving up the data to display.
This was done on the index page with all categories expanded to produce a long page.

Thanks Rob for confirming.
Don't know what has changed (if anything at all) but it feels faster all day today.
Seems to have disappeared now. Still running fast. :)
Perhaps we should Resolve this issue?
Perhaps...
No, it still is VERY annoying. This whole ad business got out of hand at some point - you guys [the admins of course] need to do something about this.
Really frustrating... Sorry.
