Hahahaha. A lot of nine year olds for some reason. Those are likely people that aren't willing to share the info. I do that sometimes to, I just put in January 1st.

When did the server crash happened in VBF? 2001? If yes, then that could be the problem... All DOB's must have been erased...

The crash was later than that (based on my "re-join date", it was July 2002), and wouldn't have that effect - it removed users/posts entirely.
Those dates of birth were almost certainly specified by the users, but I presume that is because it was a default value at some point, and they didn't bother to change it.

That's a lot of "birthdays".
It no longer crashes your browser when viewing the bdays :) think its been about 2 years or more now that it doesnt crash
