What size pizza is the best value?
I created a spreadsheet that calculated the price per square inch of pizza given the diameter and price.
So where's the spreadsheet? Or should we wait for the next issue of Popular Science to publish the findings?
Get a 14" one and chop it up.
I'm special because my mum told me so.
So pi r squared.
Pi being a constant, and r being relative to the diameter. Why not just diameter per dollar? You really must be a nerd. A geek would know better, and buy Papa Murphy's take-n-bake.
What would you do if you came up against one of those square, New York style, pizzas?
By the way, I always took the price/square inch into account when buying pizza back in college (quality didn't matter in those days, only price). However, I did all the math in my head, I didn't need not steeeenkin' spreadsheet....which is good, since in those days, spreadsheets had a frame rate.
Only diameter? What about the thickness/toppings etc?
.
Does crust count too?
Of course. However, in the case of college pizza deliveries, they were all the same in the vertical dimension. Nobody delivered a thick crust pizza where I was.
Maybe we should calculate the price per calorie.
How about the price you have to pay?
I generally end up paying for the pizza a few hours after I eat it, these days, especially if I eat it late in the evening.
I hear that Mendhak is a leading authority on pizzas. He once fed 5000 people with a small Texas BBQ from Dominos.
I also heard that he turned water into beer for the 5000 people.
No not quite. He drank 10 litres of beer thinking it was mountain dew, looked in a mirror and saw 5000 people.
I know a chat-up line regarding pizzas. I fear it would be met with banishment were I to post it though. It has to do with imperial measurements and pepperoni. Do the math.
