Claptrap's robot robolution
I've made it no secret that i love Borderlands. However this latest DLC is trying my patience. If anyone has ever played the zombie island one, they know how tedious the brain gathering is. this is possibly worse. I am currently gathering 150 claptrap parts, and it's the 5th "get parts" mission. I suspect there will be another one. The crap i put my self through to have a boss battle...
Re: Claptrap's robot robolution
Hmm... the claptraps in the original Borderlands were always an annoyance - find crying claptrap, get quest, find repair part, come back, get lousy reward. 150 might be a bit much. No, it WILL be a bit much.
Btw, which DLC is the continuation of the story line (rescue Athena)?
Also - Xbox or PC?
Re: Claptrap's robot robolution
its available on both, and the secret armory of general knoxx is the story continuation. However, if i understand correctly, each dlc requires the one before it. You might want to look into that, but i remember them saying they weren't putting the level increase in this dlc for that reason. I beat this add-on in my first playthrough yesterday. It's very short. And actually 150 of them to kill was only the last one. I killed 100 before that, 75 before that, etc. However (and i wasn't aware of this when doing the mission) there are claptraps everywhere and the claptrap parts gathering mission isn't actually part of the plotline. You can skip all but the first one.
Beating it on playthrough one was too easy because my character was level 54. I'm going to give it a 2nd shot on playthrough two. The level difference was too great and i didn't even gain a level. I've been playing the armory one on playthrough two now and gained two levels today.
My goal is crawermax the invincible, which is level 61.
The claptraps are kind of a comic relief in here, giving off bender quotes(hey baby, wanna kill all humans?), dalek quotes (exterminate!), etc. But all in all for the price it was waaaaay toooo short!
The armory add-on and the zombie apocalypse add-on both take a couple of days to beat. This took a couple of hours.
