There are a couple medical specialties for which that would be a bad name. Of course, "doctor to the geeks" would be one of them. However, I'm sure she was just a proctologist. Don't think about that too long, I'm sure you'll get it in the end.
These are the truth, a doctor in my area who did vasectomies was named Dr. Stop and a friend of mine, Barry Fuchs, was always getting his last name mispronounced.
My Vet is Dr. Nurse - his actual name is Richard Nurse

A local eye doctor in my area is named Dr. McPeek
You can look this up, but back in the 90's I was able to vote for the NH Congressman Dick Sweat. If that was MY last name, I would have stuck with Richard, but I had to admire a guy who would put that name on the ballot.
My mom (bless her) wanted to name me Richard.

Here in the Netherlands Dick is actually a pretty common name.
In the U.S. too.
